But one fateful day, tragedy struck. Deogie managed to slip out of our backyard, and my heart sank. For four agonizing days, I scoured the neighborhood, calling his name until my voice grew hoarse. As a phone agent at the time, I struggled to communicate with clients while my mind was consumed with worry for Deogie. The pain of not being able to find him was unbearable.
